Sue Dewhurst
The SD Group
I’ve worked in internal communications for 15 years, mainly in-house at Royal Mail, Barclays Bank and latterly NTL, where I was Internal Comms Director. In 2004 I went over to the dark side of consultancy, and I’ve been enjoying the variety of working with a range of clients, from professional services organisations to fast food companies. I see myself as a business person with a special interest in communication rather than a ‘communications manager’, and I’m annoyingly practical – my favourite phrase is ‘how will that actually work?’
My particular interests are change communications, professional development for internal communicators and enhancing leaders’ communication skills. I’m an advisor to the internal communications group of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’, a trained co-active coach and a licensed careers coach.

About us and Melcrum
We work closely with Melcrum in several areas - Black Belt is just
one - but we don't work for them. That means we maintain an independent
editorial line. Melcrum have very kindly set this blog up for us and
they are making sure all the technology works in the background, but
they are not involved in writing, editing or otherwise "vetting" the
content in any way.
